Secret Nitri-Bac 1000ml | Decrease nitrite
✔ In stock
Nitrification is the biological oxidation of the nitrogen compound ammonia to the nitrogen compound nitrite, followed by the oxidation of this nitrite to the nitrogen compound nitrate. Oxidation means combustion. Certain bacteria are able to carry out this process. They “burn” ammonia and nitrite to provide their cells with energy. The residual product is nitrate. These specific bacteria need a place to settle in order to do their work, they prefer not to float freely through the water. In natural water these bacteria are located on the bottom and walls of, for example, a ditch. To support these processes and to ensure that you keep one of the most important processes in a pond going, you use Nitri-Bac. Nitri-Bac thus reduces your ammonia and nitrite levels.
Dosage
50ml per 1000 litres, mix the bacteria with 3 litres of water in a watering can and spread the mixture evenly over your pond.
1 litre is sufficient for 20,000 litres of pond water incl. filter. 5 litres suitable for 100,000 litres of pond water incl. filter.
The pond must meet the following values:
- KH Value: 6 -10
- Ammonia: <0.15 mg/l (NH3)
- PH Value: 7-8
- Nitrite: <0.15 mg/l (NO2)
- GH Value: 8-12
- Oxygen: <60-100% (02)
You can use a pond test set for this
