Calcium plays a role in bone formation, maintenance of the teeth and it transports other minerals through the body of an animal. Magnesium helps especially with muscle formation and the nervous system.

Especially ponds with many plants need a large amount of Calcium and Magnesium because plants use a lot of these minerals. Then it is especially important to keep your GH value in order! Try to keep your GH value between 8 and 12 for an optimal balance in your pond!
