The Secret BioLux 18,000 is a complete flow-through filter that ensures a clear and healthy pond. The Secret BioLux casing has special water guidance, which provides extra oxygen enrichment. Water enters the filter via the Secret 5000 liter pond pump and passes through the Secret UVC unit. With an 18-watt UV lamp, the UVC unit combats suspended algae and germs. The pond water then enters the BioLux 18,000. There, the filter material takes care of the mechanical and biological cleaning of the pond water. The BioLux uses so-called bio-balls, 4 filter sponges, and 1 Japanese filter mat as filter material. The sealable lid reduces noise, and the dark environment creates ideal conditions for the nitrification process. The pond water must then flow back into the pond via an outlet. The filter should therefore always be above water level but can be buried for 1/3 so that the user can neatly conceal it. The biggest advantages of the BioLux series from Secret are its cleaning functions. On the lid of the Secret BioLux, there is not only a water temperature indicator but also an indicator that shows the degree of contamination. When the user opens the bottom drain, the contaminated water does not flow back into the pond. With these features, the BioLux is an easy-to-install and maintain flow-through filter that very effectively cleans pond water.
